The properties or sensible qualities of all the objects of nature, as Berkeley unanswerably demonstrated, cannot exist independent of or outside of a percipient mind. They exist in our minds as thoughts and ideas, and as a feeling which we denominate a sensation. If we remove from our minds, or from the mind of a patient, the mental image or idea of the malady, the disease will vanish as certainly as to remove an object from before a mirror will cause the disappearance of its reflected image. In proportion as the idea and the belief of a malady are effaced, it will weaken its grasp upon us. W. F. EVANS

The Mind Cure

The fact is, if nervousness were completely removed from the race more than half of the physical ills, and  nearly all the mental ills, would be removed. The strength and endurance of the body would be  increased remarkably, and the capacity of the mind would in most instances be practically doubled. That a perfect remedy for nervousness would therefore prove a great boon, to say the least, is evident; and a remedy has been found that fulfills all the requirements, because from its very nature it simply cannot fail. This remedy will give health to the nerves in every case where it is used, and it is so simple that all who will apply it can do so successfully.

Health Treatment of Truth

M. E. Cramer

The arrangement of this consecutive course of condensed lessons, under the heading of BASIC STATEMENTS AND TREATMENT, is designed to be a simple, practical method which, when understood and practiced, will enable students to realize within themselves, and for others, wholeness; which is pure Being, perfect thought and the result of such thought. Wholeness means health, satisfaction, and success in general. Wholeness includes the all of Life, which is the Intelligence, Truth, Substance, and Power for which all are seeking.

Practical Healing
for Mind and Body

Jane W. Yarnall

 A COURSE OF TWELVE LESSONS

The study of the life principle is the study of First Cause, the study of God, which means the study of all Good, and nothing but the absolute Good; the eternal verities of life. All the old prophets and mighty men of Israel,  Moses, Elijah, Joshua, David, Daniel,  and others, obtained their powers  through the study of First Cause, Divine Law, or God. No matter what we call It, if we only understand It, and acknowledge It as the only power, It is the only study worth while. We begin at the very outset with the strange bold statement that only the good is real and true; and no matter how the world may dispute the statement, no matter how many wise sayings they may quote to prove our statement false, no matter how many events they may hold up as evidence that we are in error, no matter how much they scorn and ridicule the statement, and even hint at lunacy, we shall stand by the statement and finally prove it to them.
